Songwriter Jimmy Bozeman is an example of independent American musicians of 1970s. The main strenght of his tales is a personal experience and knowledge. In the course of his music pursue he had travelled throughought a lot of places all around the world such as Lousiana continuing to Texas and Mexico and to Prague, where he ended his travels and where he eventually settled down. The star formation of his band contains experienced and well-established musicians such as a violinist Pepa Malina (Malina Brothers), a guitarist Jakub Racek (Plavci), a double-bass player Svatka Hlávková (ex. Pavel Bobek), and a drummer Martin Petrásek (Jamie Marshall). Jimmy Bozeman has so far made 7 records. The latest record is called „Old, New and in Between“ and you can hear on it his authentic folk-hillbilly, honky tonk and country-blues

Delighted to welcome Larry de Cléir to this years Roots. He will join
our good supporter Mick Power to represent the Limerick side in Our
Across The County Bounds Concert on May 5th Larry is a singer
songwriter who lives in Limerick City. He has been writing songs and
tunes and playing them in Folk Clubs for over 40 years! In the
early 90’s he was a member of the Full Circle Folk Club which used to
meet on Monday nights in the Glentworth Hotel, and from that there is an
unbroken line to the Castleconnell Folk
Club in Co. Limerick of which he is a founder member. This club, which
meets on Tuesday nights in Herbert’s in Lios na Graí is still going
strong since 1995. Many of Larry’s songs comment on injustice or social issues – as do many covers that he sings in his play-list. Scríobhann Larry roinnt amhráin as Gaelige freisin!

Looking forward to Colm Breathnach and his friends taking part in this years Roots at the Corner House on Sunday May 6th at 21.30
